Nena, nena, nena, nena Nena, nena, nena, nena . Nena, nena, nena, nena Nena, nena-na-na ¡Mal me habés acostumbrado! ¡Me habés acostumbrado mal! Another link in this chain – incomprehensible grace: a force of Nature takes sail, the heart ignites once again. A smile, a pair of bright eyes, hiding a sadness untold, return the light and the colours back to a life spent in scribbling and chasing after the sound waves, rejection the name of the game. How life recovers its meaning through the existence of another. Oh, how the day’s filled with purpose and lightness permeates all exertion. The powerful dynamo catches fire as we lock into the next link, moments of grace, now dispersing, have found a home more praiseworthy. One fragile heart starts again. about

Views From my Horse documents most of the music I wrote in the years 2002, 2003 and 2004. It is all music of a personal (in some cases extremely so) character. You get four pieces in Tango style, two pieces for children, a love song in Progressive Rock style, a substantial piece for solo piano, a piano trio and a piece for double bass and piano.
I was fortunate to count with the artistry of some really superb performers and the engineering, mixing and mastering expertise of some great characters (check the album credits below!)
You may, perhaps, be wondering what the composer is doing sitting on a brass deer, dressed in tuxedo and peeking through a pair of binoculars. Is it not suppposed to be something about a horse? I again invite you to read the liner notes below or in the excellent booklet designed and produced by my daughter Isabel.
As for the photograph, the significant bit is that the composer is holding the deer's horns. Now you know.

about

Ricardo Odriozola Norway

Although trained as a violinist, I have been writing music since I was 10. The music I write has always been informed by my work as a performer. I was brought up on the classics as well as on the more advanced British folk, rock and jazz music. The music I write includes aspects of all the music I love, which covers the entire spectrum between the rabid avant-garde and simple three chord songs. ... more
